Practice Areas

Part A Reading

Part A includes 20 questions based on a particular health-related subject. The answers are found across four short text boxes.

In an OET test, Part A Reading is completed within 15 minutes.

Part B Reading

Part B includes 6 short workplace-related healthcare texts. Each question has three answer options: A, B or C.

There are 6 questions in total for Part B Reading.

Part C Reading

Part C includes 2 longer healthcare-related extracts of approximately 750 words each. Each extract has 8 questions.

Each question has four answer options: A, B, C or D. Part C Reading includes 16 questions in total.

Timing Guidance

Candidates are given 15 minutes to complete Part A Reading and 45 minutes to complete Parts B and C Reading.
